Ooqa-OoqaTM "Branded Browser" for Sandals

Wins Web Marketing Association IAC Award

for United Virtualities

NEW YORK - The Web Marketing Association has awarded United Virtualities its IAC Award for the Best Hotel and Lodging Rich Media Online Ad in the Association's 2005 Internet Advertising Competition. The winning execution was produced by United Virtualities and used UV's unique Ooqa-OoqaTM "branded browser" for Sandals, the vacation resort.

Ooqa-Ooqa TM enabled Sandals to achieve the dynamic customization of the Web browsing experience by transforming the untapped "dull, gray toolbar" at the top of a site's Web page into valuable screen real estate - while preserving all of its functionality.

The winning Sandals campaign ran on local sites affiliated with ABC.

"This Ooqa-OoqaTM was specially developed for Sandals Hotels to communicate the ideas of a romantic and paradise-like place, the ideal place to go with the person you love," says Gaston Silberman, Creative Director  of United Virtualities. "We developed a piece in which the buttons are made of the archipelagos of the islands where Sandals hotels are located. We also added some music options for the user to choose which to listen”.

"Ooqa-OoqaTM increases the Web page's branding power," adds Mookie Tenembaum, founder of United Virtualities. "The average exposure time to the Ooqa-OoqaTM is markedly higher than any other rich media product available in the market. Ooqa-OoqaTM can be as bold or as subtle as the advertiser/publisher wants, according to its target, brand character and objectives.  All contain extra functionalities that are aimed at enhancing the user experience. This award demonstrates, once more, that we have the finest creative team around."
