January is always a busy month for us here at the Web Marketing Association. The Call for Entry for the Internet Advertising Competition Awards is in full swing.  Entering the IAC Awards is easy. Simply go to the new IAC Awards website at www.iacaward.org and select “Submit an Entry”. If you have a nominator account from last year, you can simply log in. If you did not create a free nominator account, providing some basic contact information is all you need to do. Once in, you can start submitting your entries.

The deadline for entering this award program is January 31, 2008 and the clock is ticking – don’t wait, enter today!

One of the most common questions we get about the IAC Awards is how if differs from the WebAward competition, especially the microsite/landing page format. The answer is perspective. The WebAwards looks at the entry from the web development perspective and the IAC Awards looks at it from an advertising perspective. For example, a great website can be a lousy ad and a lousy website can really be a hard hitting advertisement.

Remember the IAC Awards are also not just about banner ads. All forms of online advertising including newsletters, email, interactive applications and microsites/landing pages are included in the competition.
