Not too long ago, a public company’s annual report was the most
significant communication tool for explaining a company’s vision and
results to shareholders and other critical audiences. Today the
investor relations Web site has become the foremost tool to
communicate and inform a company’s key audiences – industry
analysts, customers, employees and shareholders.
It is for this reason that the Web Marketing Association has developed a new award competition to evaluate the success of a public company’s investor relations Web site – the Interactive Investor Relations Awards at www.iIRAwards.org. iIR Awards will be judged by investors, financial advisors and industry professionals, with awards granted to public companies in 60 industry categories.
We are pleased to have partnered with the Wealth Management News Service, The Wall Street Journal Online, Burrelle’s/Luce, O’Dwyers PR Daily and other WebAward sponsors to develop and promote the iIR Awards and hope that this competition will become the benchmark for investor relations Web site development.
