Welcome to the new monthly newsletter from the Web Marketing Association (WMA). Since 1997, the WMA has worked to promote a high standard or excellence on the Internet. The annual WebAward Competition, honoring excellence in Web site design and development, has become a premier global competition for Internet marketers. Last year, we introduced a new competition, the Internet Advertising Competition (IAC) Awards to extend this opportunity to the world of online advertising.

This newsletter is one more way for us to provide value to the Internet community. We will offer updates on what’s new at the WMA as well as interviews with industry leaders and highlights of award winning Web sites. In this issue we start off with an interview with Ty Arnell, Interactivist with Boston-based Small Army Creative services, and we feature a behind the scenes look at Disney Interactive Group’s Hot Shot Business Web Site, winner of the 2003 WebAward Best of Show.
