As president of drumBEAT Marketing, I am lucky to work with developers, graphic designers, digital marketing strategists, SEM and SEO professionals, and those involved in traditional media, branding, marketing strategy, and creative. With web design and development being an important part of our work at drumBEAT Marketing, being able to judge websites gives me many insights on how new technologies and methods are being used around the world today.
I never cease to be amazed at how many great websites are presented every year. For me, it is like getting a new education in what is possible every year I judge sites. Being an SEO professional with years in marketing prior to digital, I like to look a bit deeper at the site to see how people are optimizing their sites for todays web. I am truly happy to have been invited to be a judge.
I actually enjoy the judging of the entries and am amazed at the creativity of so many developers. When a site has the creativity and it has the UI/UX and all of the components for the visitors to the site, I sit back and clap. Really.
