October is suppose to be a quite month for the Web Marketing Association. Last month we announced the winners of the 2012 WebAward Competition and next month we launch the 11th annual IAC Awards. So why are we so busy in October?
First of all, announcing the WebAward winners is the easy part. After the announcement comes follow up with the media, production of the physical awards and answering millions of questions from PR people who have to write releases for their company's awards and a host of other questions.
Many winners are also ordering additional awards to help promote their award winning website or to just show off to friends, family and co-workers. Others are ordering additional awards personalized for clients to help remind them of the outstanding work being done on their behalf. If you would like to order additional awards for any of the award programs, please visit the WMA Recognition Center
New Shopping Cart On the Way
Speaking of ordering new awards, the shopping cart used to power the WMA Recognition Center was cutting edge when it was implemented many years ago. It's not so much any more.
We are currently working on a new Recognition Center shopping cart program that will allow winners to actually see what will be inscribed on their awards before ordering them. The program will also be closely integrated with Society Awards, the manufacturer of the awards used by the Web Marketing Association, to shorten production times as well.
With the presidential election less than one month away, the news media is always looking for new angles to differentiate the candidates. We are going to help them.
We have asked the WebAward judges to evaluate each of the candidates Websites using the same criteria as used in the WebAwards. Stay tuned for the results in the next two weeks. We will publish the results on our blog and to the press.
Content Marketing White Paper

They just came out with a very interesting white paper entitled "Maximizing Content Marketing: A Six-Step Plan for Agile Engagement". The paper provides a concise road map for using effective content (one of the WebAward judging criteria)to effectively engage your target audience.
