Here is what is going on at the Web Marketing Association this April.

2012 WebAwards

The Web Marketing Association is pleased to announce the 16th annual Call for Entries for its 2012 international WebAward Competition, the Internet's premier award competition that judges website development against an ever increasing Internet standard of excellence and against peer sites within 96 industries. The deadline for entry is May 31, 2012 and the competition Website is at www.webaward.org.

If you have participated in the past, you know the drill. If you are new to the WebAwards, here is your chance to reward the development team that works hard every day to create outstanding websites. Recognition is an important part of why you enter an award program and the WebAwards have been using the same format to adjudicate websites for 16 years, longer than any other organization on the Internet.

Entering is easy. Simply create a nominator account or log into an existing account from past years. This password protected area will allow you to enter multiple sites, edit the information up to when the judging begins and receive updates, results and feedback on your entries throughout the competition.

IAC Awards Winners Announcement

The Web Marketing Association announces the winners of its annual Internet Advertising Competition (IAC) Awards, an effort to honor excellence in online advertising and to recognize the individuals and organizations responsible for the best in Internet marketing. The IAC Awards are the first and only industry-based advertising award competition dedicated exclusively to online advertising. 2012 Best of Show Awards were awarded in each of the online medium categories. This year's winners are:

Top Agency Winners

The Web Marketing Association also recognizes the agency that shows consistent excellence in online advertising development by winning more IAC Awards than any of their peers in a single competition. Saatchi & Saatchi LA was recognized with the 2012 Top Agency Award, winning 17 IAC Awards. Their awards include 7 Best of Industry awards and 10 Outstanding awards.
