William Rice
Web Marketing Association

This is the end of the year and what a year it has been.

While 2008 will be remembered by many for its presidential election and upheaval in the financial markets, it was also a year that the Internet continued to play an important and growing role in people's lives.

In difficult times, it is more important than ever to stand out from the crowd. That is why the Web Marketing Association began its award programs almost 13 years ago - to allow those working on the best interactive advertising and websites to be recognized for their outstanding work.

Winning awards might help demonstrate to senior management your team's effectiveness or it might provide an existing client an independent review of your companies work. It is a great marketing opportunity to attract new clients. The bottom line is that awards are business tools that help motivate and reward employees and help generate exposure.
