Well, after a long summer of judging Web sites, the Web Marketing Association’s Interactive Briefing newsletter is back.

In case you missed it, The WebAwards winners were announced in September and as usual we had some great sites compete and win recognition for the interactive teams that created the project and the site itself.

Special congratulations to Disney Online who won Best of Show for Disney.com XD. This highly interactive broadband centerpiece of the new Disney.com uses personalization and a high level of interactivity to captivate its audience. The Best of Show Runner-up was IQ Interactive for UPS.com/Whiteboard, another innovative site that brings UPS’s popular TV ad campaign to the web. Both sites are worth a look to see the future of Internet development.

I would also like to personally thank the hundreds of volunteers and judges who helped make the 11th annual WebAwards an unqualified success.  It’s heartening to see that those who benefit from Web marketing also give back to the online marketing community to help make it a better place.

Speaking of award programs, the Internet Advertising Competition Awards will kick off it’s 2008 Call for Entries in November. We are working with BGT Partners, Florida’s Oldest and Most Award Winning Interactive Agency, to update the IACAward.org website and I think you’ll like what you see.

Conference Pass Drawing

Our sponsor Search Engine Strategies has offered a full conference pass to their next SES Conference in Chicago (December 3-7). These conferences are always a great place to network and learn the latest trends in online marketing.

To enter send an email to SES@webaward.org with the subject line “SES Drawing” and your contact information.  We will pick one winner on October 25th and let you know by email.  Good luck!
