of Interactive Briefing, the newsletter of the Web Marketing
Association. We hope that we have created an easy to read update on what
is happening at the WMA and in the world of Web development. 2009 IAC Award Winners
We are pleased to announce the
winners of the annual Internet Advertising Competition (IAC) Awards, an
effort to honor excellence in online advertising and to recognize the
individuals and organizations responsible for the best in Internet
marketing. A complete list of winners can
be found at www.iacaward.org. However, we would like to
highlight the top awards here in Interactive Briefing. 2009 Best of Show Awards were
awarded in each of the online medium categories. This year's winners
include: Biggs|Gilmore of Kalamazoo, MI
was recognized with the 2009 Top Agency Award, winning 19 IAC
Awards. Their awards include a Best of show, 8 Best of Industry awards
and 10 Outstanding awards. I would like to congratulate
all of the IAC Award winners for a job well done. I would also like to
especially recognize the many industry professionals who served as our
volunteer judges. It is their expertise and professionalism that that
make this recognition program possible. WebAwards We are getting ready for the
2009 WebAward Competition for Website Development and will be adding new
categories. Here is a list of current industry categories. This year we are planning on
adding: Environmental, Gay/Lesbian, Mobile, Public Utility, Science and
Social Network. However, we will also be removing these categories:
Auction, Institutional Services, Brokerage, Computer: Retailer and ISP.
